What is the cost for participation?
Only a few hundred dollars a month for the Alpha and Delta groups (3 ½ hour) half day program. The Gamma Full Counsel, a full day program is intense training with varying fees starting at $275 a month.
What is included in the monthly fee?
Breakfast, curriculum, binder and all materials, participation, 1 hour of one on one business coaching via telephone per month, and an annual core business analysis (Alpha & Delta group). The Gamma Counsel receives lunch, annual thorough on site business analysis each year and 1 hour of one on one business coaching via telephone per month and discounted fees for additional consulting/ coaching.
Is there a contract?
No. Though there is no contract, there is a working agreement. Others depend on you as you depend on others, so commitment is important. It is expected that as long as you see value in attending that you attend regularly and consecutively. Fees are billed monthly and 90 day notice is required to cancel membership to protect continuity for the Counsel. There are no time contracts.
How is the monthly fee paid?
At the time of joining there is a one month refundable deposit paid. Monthly membership dues are billed 30 days in advance. 90 day notice is required to terminate membership.
Do I have any say as to who is in the group?
Since the Counsel will become a long-term close working relationship, the current members must officially accept a member after a potential member is sponsored and nominated.
Is there a time commitment to maximize my investment?
Members are strongly encouraged to set aside 10% of their working hours (usually 4 hours per week), working on their business (WOB). This includes the Counsel meeting once a month.
Is there accountability within the group?
Accountability is the most important part of the Presidents’ Counsel. Most of us know far more than we are practicing and NEED someone to hold us accountable. I doubt many coaches knew more about basketball than Michael Jordan but even he needs a coach to hold him accountable. When you commit to a goal or activity, The Counsel will hold you accountable and you will start achieving your goals.
Can anyone join The Presidents Counsel?
No. A member must be sponsored by an existing member and/or the Presidents’ Counsel corporate in order to be admitted by member approval. Since one of the greatest assets of the Counsel is collective experience and business knowledge, the composition of the group is important.
Can I lose my membership?
Yes. This is a serious business cooperative geared to get results. This is not a network group, though business may be transacted among its members. This is not a recreational club, although it will be a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Each member will be expected to perform, improve and contribute to the success of the other members. Members that are un-committed will be asked to resign.
What value can I expect to receive from my chapter?
1st is the power of pooled experience, talent and abilities from other business people COMMITTED TO YOUR SUCCESS.
2nd is the accountability of others who care. You’ve heard the expression you can’t expect what you don’t inspect? Well peer inspection is of great value. This alone will be worth the cost of admission.
3rd is Guided practical Instruction geared to teach business knowledge tailored to the local chapter.
4th is the one on one business coaching to name a few.
5th is one of the most valuable benefits is the annual analysis of your business (off-site core analysis for the Alpha and Delta groups and full onsite analysis for a Gamma Counsel).
What is the advantage of being a charter member?
Membership dues for "full Counsels" (6 members or more) are subject to change and most likely will increase as the value of the Counsel increases. Charter members fees will never increase and they have the most influence in the composition of their board.
